Parenting can be hard. Really hard. When my first child turned two, there were times when I felt at a complete loss for how to be a good parent. I felt upset when my child wouldn't listen to me. I felt embarrassed at any misbehavior in front of strangers at the grocery store, or much worse, in front of my own family members. In general, I felt at a loss, not knowing what advice to seek or who to listen to. Then I found Emily McMason's parent education class and it changed my life.

During both of my pregnancies, my husband and I went to birth and labor preparation classes, and I remember how daunting it was trying to figure out which classes or workshops to choose. There are classes held at the hospital, natural childbirth classes from various institutions, hypnobirthing classes, and the list goes on. After experiencing a variety of these, I was blown away by Marissa’s workshop and wished I had known about it when I was pregnant. The Birthing from Within Inspired workshop included a lot of art projects and time for reflection and journaling, as well as the physical labor preparation you would expect.

We had so many questions about the logistics of it all (air travel, lodging, which activities to attempt or skip, sleeping and nap routines, etc), and if you're about to take a little one on a faraway trip, you may be asking yourself many of the same questions.
