Fine Art School Photography in Olympia, WA

JOY CONNECTION FUN

— for families that want school photos with personality

Why my school photos are more fun!

First of all, I’m a mom of three, so I get it. I want great portraits of my own kids, but I want them to be real.

No forced smiles or cheesy backdrops. I want photos that show their real personalities, even if they include goofy laughs or pouty lips.

That’s why I approach school photography in a way that lets children be themselves, no matter what, while always maintaining a personal and professional approach. My boutique experience will leave families with fine art portraits that will become timeless portraits to look back on year after year.

FAQs

  • I work with your school to find the best date and time to schedule your photo day. Photo days can be held as many times a year as desired for your school or program.

  • An informational hand out will be given to the school for distribution to the families before the scheduled photo day. The hand out will include a preparation guide as well as detailed information about the ordering process.

  • Siblings (usually younger) are welcome at photo day. Depending on the number of siblings participating and the class size, after a child has their photo taken, their sibling(s) will join them for a group portrait.

  • The photos will be ready one week after photo day. Families will receive notice by email when their password protected online gallery is ready. All print and digital orders can be made directly through the gallery.

  • Printed photos and digital images can be ordered after photo day, directly from each student’s online gallery.

  • Before the photo day, I will schedule a time to tour the school and select the room/location to photograph in. That way I can arrive on photo day and immediately set up my equipment in the selected location. I will bring all my own equipment, including the backdrop, and I may have an assistant with me. I will ask for a class roster for each grade four weeks prior to the photo day, so that each class can be photographed as quickly and smoothly as possible.

A little about me!

My first name is Italian: it looks like Alice but it’s pronounced ah-LEE-chay (like ceviché). If you throw your hands in the air it’s easier to pronounce. Try it! You’ll see what I mean.

My art is deeply influenced by the joy and connection that I feel for my own children. That true understanding of a parent’s love is what led me to specialize in family and newborn photography, and it’s the most important thing that I bring to every single session.
